The UTSA Department of Integrative Biology invites applications for the position of a Fixed-Term Track (FTT) Lecturer of Biology or Environmental Science, beginning Fall 2024.

Salary Range: Starting at $45,000 for nine-months (Fall and Spring semesters).

 

Fixed-Term Track (FTT) faculty at UTSA are generally hired through renewable contracts. The primary contract would be for 9-months, with additional summer appointments (for teaching or administrative service) possible.

 

Hours: Up to 40 hours per week, exempt.

Essential Functions

 

Teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses in biology or environmental science. This position would have a baseline teaching requirement of 4 undergraduate or graduate lecture courses in the Integrative Biology Department each semester.

 

Required Qualifications

 

• Master's degree in Biology, Environmental Science, or related fields

 

Preferred Qualifications

 

• Experience teaching biology and/or environmental science courses at the undergraduate or graduate level.

Working Conditions

 

This position will be primarily located on campus, but may be assigned to teach both in-person and online courses. Travel and parking expenses are the employee's responsibility.
