Salary Range: Up to $73,478.58 annualized, commensurate with education, experience and qualifications.
Hours: up to 40 hours per week, exempt.

Essential Functions
Job Summary
To provide support for institutional and unit program planning and policymaking through the design and execution of institutional research projects, analysis, and reporting. Applies working knowledge and skill in research methodology and analysis in independently performing all phases of research studies including problem definition, study design, data collection, analysis, interpretation, and presentation of findings.
Core Responsibilities
• Provides expertise in system management/development, creation/dissemination of dashboards and reporting tools.
• Completes institutional data requests and responses to surveys.
• Manages institutional applications and data to respond to user needs (faculty, staff, etc.).
• Oversees the design, execution, analysis, and evaluation of research and reporting projects.
• Researches, plans, evaluates, and finalizes methodology to fulfill projects including conferring with clients to clarify the research project.
• Designs, compiles, and analyzes data using analytical and statistical methods.
• Determines data requirements, data sources, and data collection methods.
• Plans, coordinates, and completes publication of internal and external statistical reports and surveys.
• Provides technical support and training on new or existing techniques.
• Writes technical reports to provide information, interpretation, and recommendations on research projects.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Institutional Research Analyst I
• Master's degree in Social Science Research, Economics, Educational Administration, Business Administration, Organizational Analysis, Information Science, or other research-oriented discipline.
• Proficient in SQL.
• Experience with Power BI, and Tableau.
• Experience with Python, R, or other programming languages.
• Strong verbal and written communication and analytical skills.
Institutional Research Analyst II
• Master's degree in Social Science Research, Economics, Educational Administration, Business Administration, Organizational Analysis, Information Science, or other research-oriented discipline.
• Doctorate may substitute for four (4) years of experience.
• Two (2) years in research, analytical, or institutional planning position.
• Proficient in SQL.
• Experience with Power BI, and Tableau.
• Experience with Python, R, or other programming languages.
• Strong verbal and written communication and analytical skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Institutional Research Analyst I
• Two (2) years in research, analytical, or institutional planning position.
Institutional Research Analyst II
• Doctorate in Social Science Research, Economics, Educational Administration, Business Administration, Organizational Analysis, Information Science, or other research-oriented discipline.
• Four (4) years in research, analytical, or institutional planning position.
• Experience with research data reporting and analytics (research proposals, grants, research expenditures).
• Experience with PHP scripting language.

Working Conditions
• Office environment.
• Ability to travel to and from meetings, training sessions, or other business-related events.
• Occasional after-hours and weekend work or overtime may be required.
Physical Demands:
• Sedentary work; sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required, only occasionally.
• Exerts up to 10 lbs. of force occasionally.
This position will primarily work from a remote location in Texas and rarely needs to be on campus. When an employee is required to work on campus, travel and parking expenses are the employee's responsibility. Applicants must be adaptable and open to working in both environments.
