POSITION:     Tenure-Track Position in Psychology/Quantitative Methods

Job Description:

 The Department of Psychology invites applications for a full-time tenure track appointment as an Assistant Professor commencing September 2025 to teach at New Jersey City University (NJCU) William J. Maxwell College of Arts & Sciences. This is a 10-month position carrying a minimum 24 credit-hours teaching load per academic year.

 A doctoral degree in psychology is preferred with expertise in quantitative methodology and research methods. Candidates should provide evidence of excellence in teaching and should have superior organizational skills. Teaching experience at the university level is preferred. The successful candidate will participate in the research and grant development activities of the department as well as provide course offerings in Statistics, Experimental Psychology, and Research Methods. Additionally, the successful applicant will be required to teach both basic and advanced courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels, as well as collaborate with quantitative analysis and research within other departments. The successful candidate will participate in student advisement, maintain at least 5 hours of on-campus office hours, and contribute to the functioning of the department through committee work.
