Salary Range - HRBP: Up to $70,000/Annualized, commensurate with education, experience and qualifications.
Salary Range - SHRBP: Up to $85,000/Annualized, commensurate with education, experience and qualifications.
At the discretion of the hiring manager, this position will be classified as a Human Resources Business Partner or Senior Human Resources Business Partner depending on the qualifications of the finalist candidate.
Hours: 40 hours per week, exempt.

Essential Functions
Job Summary
Provides complex/high-level collaboration with various stakeholders to help lead and drive change management, leadership development, workforce strategy, strategic staffing, organizational design, training and development, employee engagement, and employee relations. Collaborates with division leadership to proactively identify complex human resources (HR) needs and serves as a resource on HR policies, procedures, and practices. Identifies complex HR implications of both strategic and operational plans being proposed by the University. Formulates strategic partnerships across HR functions to deliver value-added service to management and employees that reflect the business objectives of the organization.
Core Responsibilities
Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) and Senior Human Resources Business Partner (SHRBP)
• Collaborates with members of the HR Business Partner team, providing advice and guidance on complex/significant issues.
• Works closely with the leadership team to align HR strategies to business objectives. Develops and maintains in-depth business knowledge to proactively identify opportunities and solutions to emerging issues in the organization.
• Consults with assigned business leaders to understand and develop critical business strategies and drivers and identify corresponding HR capabilities required to achieve operational and strategic priorities.
• Incorporataes HR considerations into the organization's long-term strategic planning by offering guidance on business unit restructures, identifying emerging employee skill needs, workforce planning, and succession planning.
• Builds and leverages relationships across the organization in order to drive change and support leaders in achieving their goals. Coaches and advises supervisors on employee and organizational issues.
• Combines business acumen with HR expertise and professional experience to develop and implement HR strategies that enhance organizational performance.
• Consults with leadership, providing HR guidance and policy interpretation when appropriate.
• Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues. Conducts effective, thorough, and objective investigations.
• Works closely with management and employees to improve working relationships, build morale and increase productivity and retention.
• Supports supervisors and staff on the performance management process, including: setting goals and expectations, managing staff, delivering performance feedback, and identifying behavioral indicators, helping supervisor to create staff development plans or opportunities.
• Analyzes trends and metrics in partnership with HR to develop solutions, programs, and policies.
• Participates in strategic planning with respective departments working with central HR departments to help the business meet present and future goals.
• Plays a key role in the management and implementation of HR-related projects and initiatives throughout the business. Ensures ongoing departmental initiatives are within existing University policy and coordinated with other key stakeholders internal and external to HR.
• Tracks key metrics in the organization. Analyzes and reports on relevant HR performance indicators related to employee performance, staffing, employee relations, and compensation. Develops and promotes strategies to address issues identified for improvement.
• Promotes safety and environmental protection by immediately reporting unsafe situations, spills, and accidents; following University safety plans/procedures/protocols; and participating in appropriate safety training.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
• Combined total of four (4) years (HRBP) or seven (7) years (SHRBP) of professional HR experience within one or more Human Resources functions, including but not limited to workforce strategy, organizational development, performance management, conflict resoulution, or conducting workplace investigations.
• Experience developing and maintaining complex relationships to drive change at all levels of leadership from first-line supervisors to executives as well as employees.
• Experience providing complex HR consulting services to organizational business customers.
• Experience conducting effective, thorough, and objective investigations.

Working Environment:
• Office environment.
• Ability to travel to and from meetings, training sessions, or other business-related events.
• Occasional after-hours and weekend work or overtime may be required.
Physical Demands:
• Sedentary work; sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required, only occasionally.
• Exerts up to 10 lbs. of force occasionally.
This position will require working both remotely in Texas and on campus (approximately five or more days on campus per month). Travel and parking expenses are the employee's responsibility. Applicants must be adaptable and open to working in both environments.
