Salary Range: Up to $43,000 annualized, commensurate with education, experience and qualifications.

Hours: up to 40 hours per week, exempt.

Essential Functions

Job Summary

To coordinate the operation of programs or projects, exercising independent judgment and authority as required.

Core Responsibilities

• Responsible for assigned phases of programs, which may include budget decisions, program selection, staff supervision, future planning, and innovation.
• Proposes, evaluates, and coordinates the implementation of programs. Researches new program ideas; proposes program design.
• Plans, schedules and coordinates various ROTC events and activities in assigned programs and projects.
• Ensures program needs are met through resources planning, tracking and management. Resources include talent, supplies, and facilities.
• Produces and distributes program materials. Coordinates with ROTC recruiters on marketing and communication activities for program.
• Evaluates program activities and makes recommendations for changes and enhancements. Makes recommendations to ensure program evolves as necessary to continue to serve ROTC mission.
• Maintains tracking and reporting systems to monitor program/participant progress and results. Provides data and progress/status reporting as necessary for ROTC program and other university personnel. Assists in the creation and maintenance of internal controls to protect student confidentiality and program reporting.
• Interacts with university departments, special groups and external agencies to coordinate resources and communicate/market programs.
• Within the scope of position duties, responsible for seeing that operations are effective and efficient, assets are safeguarded, reliable financial data is maintained, and applicable laws, regulations, policies, and procedures are complied with.
• General instructions from supervisor; determines own work sequence within limits of established policies.
• Proficiency in all phases of the duties performed.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field from an accredited institution.
• Two (2) years of experience working with students and/or other groups to plan and coordinate activities and programs.
• Knowledge of all standard office equipment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

Preferred Qualifications

• Combination of education/military experience.
• Previous military experience.

Working Conditions

• Office environment.
• Ability to travel to and from meetings, training sessions, or other business-related events.
• ROTC departments require attendance at some after-hours events.
• Occasional after-hours and weekend work may be required.
• Specific job requirements or physical location of some positions allocated to this classification may render the position security sensitive, and thereby subject to the provisions of section 51.215 Texas Education Code.

Physical Demands:

• Sedentary work; sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required, only occasionally.
• Exerts up to 10 lbs. of force occasionally.

This position will be primarily located on campus. Travel and parking expenses are the employee's responsibility.
