Salary Range: $36,000 annualized, commensurate with education, experience and qualifications.

Essential Functions
Job Summary
This is a temporary, benefits eligible position with an expected end date 6 months from date of hire. Appointment could be extended based on funding and work availability.
This position is for a research technician assist with in vitro ADME assays and in vivo PK studies in the Pharmacology Core. Performs entry-level professional engineering and scientific research assignments related to a particular field of work.
Core Responsibilities
• Execution of common in vitro ADME assays.
• Provide support for in vivo studies in the Core by assisting with study preparation, daily animal checks, and other related tasks.
• Sample preparation and analysis by LC-MS/MS.
• Cloning, transfection, and stable cell line generation.
• Development of quantitative assays to measure drug transport activity of both SLC and ABC drug transporters.
• Data analysis and visualization using Prism Graphpad.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in chemistry, biochemistry, biology, or related field.
• 1 year experience in a laboratory research environment in biochemistry, cell biology, chemistry, or related field.
• Demonstrates good time management and organizational skills.
• Strong communication skills for writing papers, reports and for giving presentations.
Preferred Qualifications
• 2+ years of laboratory research experience in biochemistry, cell biology, chemistry, or related field.
• Working knowledge of drug metabolism and pharmacokinetics (DMPK) and its role in the drug discovery pipeline.
• Experience in development, optimization, and execution of drug transporter assays.
• Proficiency in data analysis and visualization using Microsoft Excel and Prism Graphpad.
• Experience with common molecular biology techniques such as cloning, plasmid isolation, and transfection.
• Experience with bacterial and mammalian cell culture.

• Ability to wear PPE including laboratory coat, disposable laboratory coat, face mask, eyes splash shield, face shield, eye protection, head cover, disposable gloves, sleeve covers, shoe covers, rubber boots, and N-95 respirator.
Physical Demands:
• Ability to push, pull, or lift up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodations.
• Regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to feel, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear.
• Repetitive motions that may include the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
• Reaching overhead, at or below shoulder level.
• Medium work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
• Required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation of machines (including inspection); using measurement devices; and/or assembly or fabrication of parts at distances close to the eyes.
