Salary Range: $41,817- $46,315 annualized, commensurate with education, experience and qualifications.
Hours: up to 40 hours per week, exempt.

Essential Functions
Job Summary
Function: Responsible for financial aid outreach, financial literacy, and default prevention activities.
Scope: Responsible for promoting financial aid opportunities and assisting students and families in navigating the financial aid process. This role involves conducting outreach activities, providing one-on-one counseling, and collaborating with community organizations to assist students with applying for Financial Aid. The position is also responsible for educating students about the University's Financial literacy curriculum which involves money management, student loan repayment and default prevention.
Responsibilities
• Responsible for fielding and developing financial aid outreach events for both current and prospective students as well as community agencies.
• Assist the Financial Literacy Program, by overseeing Financial Success student workers and educating students about money management, student loan repayment and how to apply for Financial Aid
• Advise prospective, continuing, and reentering students, including special populations and high-risk students, and their parents, on the availability of various financial aid programs, Satisfactory Academic Progress standards, and Financial Aid applications.
• Responsible for maintaining financial literacy program and updating financial literacy presentations, web pages, and pushing programming for literacy
• Counsels students about financial aid and budgeting options either through appointments, over the phone, emails via Salesforce (CRM), or at events
• Coordinates and maintains liaisons with campus departments, high schools, and other community agencies as required; represents the University at outreach functions; collaborates with other departments to provide accurate financial aid information at general outreach events.
• Maintains knowledge in Title IV regulations and changes to repayment plans and cohort default rate
challenges.
• Provides overflow processing assistance to other Financial and Scholarships teams as requested.
• Attends regional, state and national conferences as necessary.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
• Two (2) years of financial aid, scholarships, student lending, financial aid, and/or enrollment management/services experience.
• Master's degree can substitute for one (1) year of experience.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills, multi-tasking skills, flexibility, and the ability to work cooperatively with others in a dynamic environment.
• Group and individual presentation and meeting facilitation skills required.
Preferred Qualifications
• Master's degree from an accredited institution.
• Two (2) years of financial aid and/or scholarship experience.

Working Conditions

• Ability to travel to and from meetings, training sessions, or other business-related events.
• Occasional after-hours and weekend work or overtime may be required.
Physical Demands:
• Sedentary work; sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required, only occasionally.
• Exerts up to 10 lbs. of force occasionally.
This position will be primarily located on campus. Travel and parking expenses are the employee's responsibility.
