Salary Range: Up to $54,000 annualized, commensurate with education, experience and qualifications.

Essential Functions
Job Summary
The Marketing Coordinator is part of the Enrollment Marketing, Communications and Systems team and is focused on promoting all aspects of UTSA to drive enrollment growth. This position will create content primarily for emails, websites and digital media, that is engaging and attractive to prospective students and their families. Additionally, this position will collaborate heavily with other departments and academic programs to discover and gather content that promotes our university, driving students to inquire, apply and ultimately enroll.
Core Responsibilities
• Email Marketing: Develop and execute email marketing campaigns, including creating personalized email content that resonates with our various prospective students and related audiences to recruit, yield and enroll new students.
• Website Updates: Support the content development of our primary admissions website, focused on attracting prospective students and engaging with them to apply and ultimately enroll.
• Writing and Editing: Write, edit, and develop content for various marketing campaigns that can be executed through emails, digital advertising, social media, print and more.
• Storytelling: Support the capture of compelling stories and reasons why students would want to apply to our university, to be used for various digital campaigns. This includes working collaboratively with other departments and offices at the university to discover or surface up content that resonates with our target audience.
• Campaign Execution: Work with the marketing team to create and timely execute various marketing campaigns and activities including email, website, social media, print, direct mail, and video. Contribute to the comprehensive marketing plan to support recruitment and enrollment goals of the university.
• Documentation: Consistently maintain internal documentation of daily processes and procedures, as well as log executed deliverables.
• Collaboration: Foster collaboration and strong working relationships with our academic departments and student support offices to surface value messaging and content to be used in marketing campaigns. Content can also include interviewing students and writing spotlights to highlight the academic breadth of the university.
• Assist with Departmental Projects: Perform additional, relevant duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, journalism, or related field.
• 3 years of experience in content creation, marketing, or communications.
• Proficient experience in creating and executing marketing strategies, content creation, and digital engagement in various mediums including, but not limited to, websites, emails, video, social, text, direct mail, print collateral, advertisements, and event promotions.
• Proficient experience with WordPress or other web content management system platforms.
• Proficient experience in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent writing and editing skills, especially in relation to marketing (understands the power of messaging, design, and storytelling through concise, succinct words).
• Excellent verbal communication skills (able to give strong, influential presentations and communicate clearly and broadly).
• Excellent collaboration skills and working well with others.
• Strong analytical skills (able to translate and leverage marketing data to inform and optimize campaign strategy).
• Strong technical skills (able to pick up new software and technologies with ease; quick to learn).
• Strong project and time management skills (able to set priorities, meet deadlines, and follow through on multiple tasks and projects with attention to detail and in a timely manner).
• General understanding of search engine optimization (SEO) and search engine marketing (SEM).
• General understanding of web data analytics.
• Good time management skills.
• Ability to keep on top of content and consumer trends.
• Possess a high degree of initiative, self-motivation, and resourcefulness.
• Possess a highly collaborative personality and eagerness to work with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications
• Preferred experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.).
• Preferred experience working with Marketing Automation systems like Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
• Basic understanding of clerical procedures and systems such as recordkeeping and filing.
• Demonstrated independent decision-making and problem-solving ability.

Working Conditions
• Office environment.
• Ability to travel to and from meetings, training sessions, or other business-related events.
• Occasional after-hours and weekend work or overtime may be required.
Physical Demands:
• Sedentary work; sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required, only occasionally.
• Exerts up to 10 lbs. of force occasionally.
This position will require working both remotely in Texas and on campus (approximately five or more days on campus per month). Travel and parking expenses are the employee's responsibility. Applicants must be adaptable and open to working in both environments.
