Overview:
The Sport & Movement Science (SMS) department invites applications for a full-time, temporary faculty role beginning in Fall 2025. Applicants will teach exercise physiology undergraduate courses. Preferred areas of interest include exercise physiology and nutrition. Professional certification(s) and membership in professional organization(s) are preferred.
The SMS department houses an accredited Masters in Athletic Training program (CAATE), one of only five in the region and the only such public university program in the Commonwealth. Undergraduate courses needing to be taught serve this program, as well as the Commonwealth Honors program emphasizing student research.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Candidates are required to perform duties in accordance with the MSCA contract. Duties include teaching, advising, scholarship and contributions to continuously improve the department and university. The standard teaching load is 12 credit hours per semester. The position is subject to available funding.
