Job Summary:

 

This position is responsible for the instruction of course specific material within the School of Trades and Technology.

 

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Will provide 15 credit hours of instruction per semester with a primary teaching load in Welding courses. Classes within the program includes Basic Welding, Blueprint Reading, MIG Welding, TIG Welding, Plate Welding, Metal Fabrication, and Pipe Welding.

 

  • Responsibilities include assessment, service on various college and department committees, maintenance of office hours, and other duties as assigned by the Dean/Welding Program Coordinator.

 

  • Development of program specific curriculum, course guide, syllabi, and other materials related to the program.

 

  • Supervise instrumental adjunct teachers.

 

  • Performs related duties related to instruction, shop maintenance, and other duties as assigned.

 

 

 

Qualifications:

  • Knowledge and level of competency commonly associated with the completion of an Associate Science Degree (Bachelor Degree is preferred) or Welding Certificates in a course of study related to the occupational field.

 

  • Experience sufficient to thoroughly understand the objectives and functions of the Welding Program in order to instruct students, usually interpreted to require a minimum of five years of Journeyman level welding experience.
