Salary Range: Up to $50,000 annualized, commensurate with education, experience and qualifications.

Essential Functions

 

Job Summary

 

To perform advanced program administration, development, and coordination. Responsible for all phases of program development and coordination of program activities.

 

Core Responsibilities

 

• Works closely with key internal partners throughout the Alvarez College of Business and the Office of Advancement & Alumni Engagement, including interfacing with students and faculty, to assist with activities related to donor cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship.

• Coordinates and participates in key events and opportunities to cultivate relationships with donors and prospects, including but not limited to advisory council meetings, football season events, and donor meetings.

• Coordinates the college's student award (i.e. scholarship and fellowship) and endowment reporting and stewardship process, including but not limited to the maintenance of award applications; review of candidates; oversight of award process; coordination of donor-student/faculty recipient meetings; and ensuring adherence to donor intent.

• Drafts gift/scholarship agreements and pledge documentation and routes them for proper approval; processes new gift/scholarship agreements as they are established.

• Completes gift processing paperwork, maintains accurate donor contact and gift records in electronic database (e.g, NXT).

• Crafts compelling written communications for donors and external audiences. Writes thank you letters, impact reports, student biographies, scholarship information/communication pieces.

• Provides donor visit assistance - developing itineraries; gathering background information on prospects; preparing folders/materials needed for visits; and coordinating on travel and reimbursement requests with administrative team as needed (including monthly mileage logs, travel and other incidentals).

• Maintains in-depth knowledge of ACOB and the university, its initiatives, and fundraising priorities to communicate a compelling case for support, and to serve as a liaison between and representative of UTSA and our constituents.

• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Works on special projects as assigned.

• Participates in professional seminars and meetings.

Required Qualifications

 

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.

• Five (5) years of related professional experience.

 

• A Master's degree can substitute for 2 years of experience

 

Preferred Qualifications

 

• Master's degree from an accredited institution.

• Experience in program development.

 

Knowledge Skills & Abilities

 

• Ability to interact professionally with faculty, staff, students, and the public.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Independent decision-making and problem-solving ability.

Working Conditions

 

Working Environment:

 

• Office environment.

• Ability to travel to and from meetings, training sessions, or other business-related events.

• Occasional after-hours and weekend work or overtime may be required.

 

Physical Demands:

 

• Sedentary work; sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required, only occasionally.

• Exerts up to 10 lbs. of force occasionally.

 

This position will require working both remotely in Texas and on campus (approximately five or more days on campus per month). Travel and parking expenses are the employee's responsibility. Applicants must be adaptable and open to working in both environments.
