Salary Range: Up to $50,000/basd on a nine moths salary
Hours: 4-4 teaching workload, with an appointment period of September 1, 2025, through May 31, 2026, exempt.

Essential Functions
The Department of Sociology and Demography at The University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA) invites applications for a full-time Assistant Professor of Instruction position with the ability to teach undergraduate courses in the areas of: Quantitative Methods, Health Disparities, Medical Sociology, Gerontology, and/or other topics that support our curriculum (Introduction to Sociology, Social Problems, etc.).
Core Responsibilities
• Provide teaching for the Department of Sociology and Demography and the College for Health, Community and Policy (HCAP).
• Teach a 4-4 teaching load of courses that contribute in one or more of the areas of: Quantitative Methods, Health Disparities, Medical Sociology, Gerontology, and/or other topics that support our curriculum (Introduction to Sociology, Social Problems, etc.).
• Contribute to departmental and college service.
Required Qualifications
• Ph.D. in Sociology (by start date)
• Teaching experience at a college or university level.
Additional Information
• UTSA is a tobacco free campus.

Working Conditions
This position will be primarily located on UTSA 1604 campus. Travel and parking expenses are the employee's responsibility.
