Salary Range: Up to $50,000 - $60,000/Annualized, commensurate with education, experience and qualifications.

Essential Functions
Job Summary
This is a grant-funded position, which may be extended or shortened based upon availability of grant funds and/or work.
Manages daily operations and case management of a rapid-rehousing program for young adults with experiences of foster care and domestic violence, in partnership with the Bexar County Fostering Educational Success (BCFES) Housing First Project Associate Director, Program Managers/Housing Coaches, Grant Principal Investigator, and local Continuum of Care (CoC).
Core Responsibilities
• Provides case management and direct service engagement related to housing, education, employment, mental health and well-being for young adults with a history of foster care and/or domestic violence, who are experiencing or at-risk for homelessness.
• Conducts intake and needs assessments from a trauma-informed and housing first perspective; refers participants to campus based and/or other community resources as appropriate. Follows up and tracks utilization.
• Develops holistic safety plans in collaboration with youth experiencing domestic violence from a trauma-informed perspective that prioritizes urgent needs and confidentiality.
• Provides landlord navigation for program participants to identify safe, affordable, and permanent housing. Stays up to date on affordable housing resources in the community.
• Provides mentorship and training for other housing coaches and peer advocates to ensure case management is provided in a manner that recognizes inherent dignity and individualized needs of youth and young adult program participants.
• Participates in the local Coordinated Entry and Case Conferencing process with the Continuum of Care (CoC) to review program referrals in coordination with the Associate Director.
• Work with supervisor and grant principal investigator on new program initiatives, to ensure professional and efficient operation of programs.
• Serves as field instructor for MSW field students in generalist or advanced practicum placement.
• Collaborates with BCFES and other community partners to ensure program participants are connected with resources.
• Maintains and reviews data quality of client files, program data, and local Homeless Management Information System (HMIS) data entry.
• Manages and tracks program incentives and transportation across program participants.
• Acts as a representative of the project during all programs, community and partner meetings, and conferences.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or similar discipline. At the discretion of the hiring department, a Master's degree may substitute for two years of experience.
• Six years of experience in program management, in agencies supporting young adults with experiences of foster care, domestic violence, and/or homelessness.
• This position requires the ability to maintain the security and integrity of UTSA and its infrastructure.
Preferred Qualifications
• Professional experience working with survivors of domestic violence.
• Master's degree in social work (MSW) and two-years post MSW practice experience.
• Two years supervisory experience.
• Experience with landlord navigation and local Homeless Management Information System (HMIS).
• Bilingual, Spanish and English.
Knowledge Skills & Abilities
• Experience conducting intake assessments, service plans, and providing case management.
• Demonstrated skills in strengths-based practice, trauma-informed care, and crisis response.
• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills with the ability to be resourceful, proactive, and organized.
• Tact, diplomacy and judgment necessary in dealing with others.
• Able to develop and implement goals and objectives aligned with the mission of the program.
• Excellent written and oral communications skills.
Additional Information
• UTSA is a tobacco free campus.
• This is a security sensitive position. Employment is contingent upon a successful background check.
• Primary work location will be on the Downtown campus
• May require extended weekend and evening hours to meet with students, implement campus programs, and participate in special projects and community activities.
This position will be primarily located on the UTSA downtown campus. Travel and parking expenses are the employee's responsibility.
