NJCU Nursing is experiencing an exciting period of development and expansion. NJCU Nursing is seeking faculty who want to utilize their skills in teaching, curriculum, assessment, advisement, leadership, and service to the university and community.

 

The Department of Nursing invites applications for two (2) full-time tenure-track faculty appointments at the assistant or associate level commencing September 1, 2025.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES: Teach across all program tracks (Prelicensure, RN-BSN, and Graduate) on our Jersey City Campus. Faculty teaching assignments can include day, evening, weekend, and synchronous/ asynchronous online courses. Develop new programs and course offerings for the nursing department, maintain scholarly engagement in their respective field, and participate in student recruitment, advisement and service activities. Contribute in meetings at the department, college, university, and community level. Candidates should demonstrate evidence of technological competence with learning management systems, simulation and skills laboratory day to day activities and operations, and working knowledge of student and program assessment, strong leadership, interpersonal and organizational skills, and commitment to diversity among faculty, staff, and students. The right candidate will establish policies and procedures for the simulation lab and manage the operating budget in collaboration with the Nursing Department Chairperson and Associate Dean.

 

 

REQUIREMENTS:  An earned Doctoral degree is required (PhD preferred) in addition to a Masters degree in nursing. Applicants will be expected to have a strong track record of scholarship including publications. Preference will be given to the candidate with successful teaching experience at the university or college level.  Applications will be considered in all areas, with priority given to those candidates with expertise in Population Health and a candidate with Advanced Practice Certification. A current unencumbered NJ registered nurse license is required.
