Salary Range: Up to $50,000 - $60,000/Annualized, commensurate with education, experience and qualifications.

Hours: 40 hours per week, exempt.

Essential Functions

Job Summary

Provides recruitment services to Hiring Managers for faculty, staff and executive level positions. Services include developing a recruiting strategy to ensure the successful selection and placement of qualified candidates.

Core Responsibilities

• Develops and drives a candidate sourcing strategy that focuses on UTSA's vision and strategic destinations.
• Builds brand awareness and develops comprehensive, targeted research strategy for qualified candidates via internal databases, job boards, social media, schools, professional associations, business contacts with other companies and discussions with stakeholders.
• Ensures selected candidates meet the qualifications of the posted positions.
• Hands-on support of the talent acquisition lifecycle which may include: candidate identification and engagement, and administrative support of the interview, offer and onboarding processes.
• Ensures documentation is maintained based on records retention requirements.
• Identifies areas of process improvement and opportunities for efficiencies. Generates new, innovative ideas to address recruiting challenges.
• Supports new employee onboarding to ensure a smooth transition from candidate to new-hire. Coordinates with hiring managers throughout onboarding process.
• Collaborates with Hiring Managers and Compensation to review salary recommendations.
• Ensures compliance with all legal aspects of recruiting function.
• Demonstrates UTSA core values.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, or related field from an accredited institution.
• Three (3) years of Human Resources' experience to include (but not limited to) recruitment or employment services.
• This position requires the ability to maintain the security and integrity of UTSA and its infrastructure.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in Human Resources or Organizational Development, or related field from an accredited institution.
• Experience with LinkedIn Recruiter and/or other social media recruiting tools.
• Experience in executing recruitment strategies for an organization.
• Experience in higher education setting.
• Experience using various interview techniques and evaluation methods.
• Experience using applicant tracking systems.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to document and evaluate business processes, identifying opportunity for processes improvement and automation.
• Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively with leaders and practitioners at all levels.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Exceptional problem solving and analytical skills.
• Relevant experience supporting enterprise and HR systems that facilitate efficiency and effectiveness through efficient business processes, reporting, and customer service.
• Ability to assess and prioritize risks and issues and evaluate competing needs.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

Physical Demands:

• Sedentary work; sitting most of the time.
