Salary:

Pay range $30.25 - $34.04 (annualized $62,920 - $70,803)

Actual salary offered is determined by the candidate's experience, education, skills, and other factors, including internal equity and university funding resources.

Job Description:

 

What We're Looking For

 

• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage complex workflows

 

• Skilled in coordinating logistics for academic and laboratory programs

 

• Experience acting as a liaison across departments and external institutions

 

• Ability to manage confidential and sensitive information with discretion

 

• Expertise in balancing strategic initiatives with day-to-day operations

 

• Strong project management skills with a focus on continuous improvement

 

• Background in overseeing vendor relations and procurement processes

 

• Ability to align facility operations with health and safety standards

 

• Proactive problem-solver with a high degree of accountability

 

• Familiarity with academic marketing coordination and public communications

 

What You'll Be Doing

 

• Overseeing daily operations, including scheduling and logistics

 

• Supporting curriculum development and faculty resource planning

 

• Managing the Surgical Anatomy Suite and body donation program

 

• Coordinating with institutional finance teams to manage and forecast budgets

 

• Supervising administrative and technical staff, including hiring and development

 

• Ensuring laboratory compliance with regulatory and ethical standards

 

• Facilitating student academic support and addressing concerns

 

• Maintaining inventory of equipment, lab supplies, and anatomical specimens

 

• Representing ALI in university-wide initiatives and meetings

 

• Managing ALI's web presence, social media, and college-level marketing liaison tasks

 

Qualifications

 

• Master's in a relevant field required (e.g., Business Administration, Healthcare Management, or Biological Sciences) or a Bachelor's degree with substantial experience.

 

• Minimum 5-7 years of experience in operations management, preferably in higher education or healthcare.

 

• Familiarity with anatomy education, laboratory operations, or healthcare environments is a plus.

Work Environment:

 

• This role involves working in an academic and laboratory environment. The Director of Operations must be comfortable with occasional exposure to laboratory environments and anatomical specimens.

 

• The work is primarily sedentary and may require sitting for extended periods of time.

 

• Use of computer equipment: computer keyboard, mouse, and monitor.

 

• Vision to read documents, e-mail and other correspondence, and reports on paper and computer monitor.

 

• Ability to communicate effectively with others in person and by phone.

 

• Will also stand, stoop, push, pull, and lift up to 10 lbs throughout the day.
