Job Summary:

 

This position is responsible for the instruction of course-specific material within the School of Trades and Technology.

 

Essential Duties:

 

  • Will provide 15 credit hours of instruction per semester with a primary teaching load in FIRE courses.

 

  • Responsibilities include assessment, service on various college and department committees, maintenance of office hours, and other duties as assigned by the Dean.

 

  • Development of program-specific curriculum, course guide, syllabi, and other materials related to the program.

 

  • Supervise instrumental adjunct teachers

 

  • Performs related duties.

 

Qualifications:

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

 

  • Knowledge and level of competency commonly associated with the completion of an associate’s degree from an accredited school.

 

  • Experience sufficient to thoroughly understand the objectives and functions of the Fire Science Program in order to instruct students, usually interpreted to require five years of firefighting experience.
