Candidates for these positions will be passionate teachers committed to academic excellence, and student success, informed by equity-minded practices and a social justice lens. Primary faculty responsibilities, including teaching and student advising will be assigned across the MSW and BSW programs, based on the needs of the School of Social Work. Some courses in the programs are offered evenings and Saturdays and, as of fall 2025, some are offered hybrid.
Faculty responsibilities also include student advising, curriculum/program development, assessment, and service on school, college, and university-wide committees.
We welcome candidates experienced with various delivery models (online, hybrid, hyflex) to complement on-campus teaching. We welcome faculty innovation in teaching. Bridgewater State University offers excellent faculty development for teaching and support to faculty research.
Required Qualifications:
•Earned doctorate in social work or a closely related field completed and awarded by September 1, 2026
•A commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, accessibility, social justice, and community engagement.
• Master of Social Work degree from a CSWE-accredited program and at least two years of post-MSW practice experience
