COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
• Salary Range: $7,076.00 -$8,602.00 per month (24/25 Classified Salary Schedule); maximum initial placement at mid-range, which is $7,802.00 per month (placement within this range is based on assessment of previous experience as documented in application materials). An additional 2% compensation will be added to the base salary for an earned doctorate degree.

• Leave/Holiday Time: Full-time classified unit members earn 8 hours of sick leave and start off accruing hours of vacation for each month worked (accrual rate increases after first year of employment and rates are pro-rated for part-time employees). Employees are also compensated for holidays recognized by the District (18 holidays/year, pro-rated for part-time employees).
• Retirement: Santa Rosa Junior College is a CalSTRS and CalPERS employer. Eligibility will be determined based on the regulations established by both agencies.
SCOPE OF POSITION:
Under general supervision, performs technical work in designing and testing data displays, and implementing research projects. Develops methodology for empirical and statistical studies, including survey development, implementation, data gathering, and data validation. Assists in analyzing and providing interpretation of studies in reports and presentations.
This is a regular, full-time (1.0 FTE), 12-month, classified position. The tentative work schedule will be Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. This position is contingent upon funding and Board approval.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Examples of key duties are interpreted as being descriptive and not restrictive in nature. Incumbents routinely perform approximately 80% of the duties below.
• Designs, tests, manages, and enhances research studies, including project scope, methodology, data sources for District programs, departments and committees.
• Builds and conducts surveys to gather information for research projects and compiles survey results. Develops procedures to organize, code, and enter data.
• Gathers, compiles, and assembles information utilizing standard statistical and reporting procedures.
• Prepares and revises reports with accompanying tabular, graphic, and statistical content descriptions of analytical methods used, including narrative of findings and conclusions. Communicates research methodology and results in various ways including written reports, oral presentations, and online visualization tools.
• Develops and maintains the departmental website and communication materials.
• Oversees multiple research projects and data requests. Recommends data sources and database design as well as makes recommendations on all phases of research projects.
• Participates in providing research support for board meetings, committee work groups, and presentations.
• Designs survey forms utilizing specialized scannable publishing computer software and on-line tools; scans and compiles surveys results.

Minimum Qualifications
Candidates/incumbents must meet the minimum qualifications as detailed below, or file for equivalency. EDUCATION:
Associate degree in a closely related field of study required.
EXPERIENCE:
2+ years of experience working in a research environment.
