Salary Range:AFT - U22 - Steps 1-8 $69,373 - $93,659

Examples of Duties

 

The Political Science convening group seeks a Temporary Assistant Professor for a one-year renewable appointment starting August 26, 2026. We seek a colleague whose teaching and scholarship engage contemporary developments in American politics and policy. The teaching load is 3 courses per semester. Courses to be taught can include American Government, Supreme Court, Civil Rights, Interest Groups and Parties, Political Theory, Presidency, and Principles of Public Policy. The successful candidate will contribute to the activities of the convening group and the college, in addition to teaching responsibilities. Describe how your teaching and scholarship, or outside community work, engage in trends in the discipline and support the academic success of students.

 

Qualifications

 

Education:

 

Candidates should hold a Ph.D. in Political Science.
