Essential Functions:
The Enrollment Specialist serves as a primary point of contact for prospective, new, and continuing students, providing comprehensive support through the enrollment lifecycle. The position is responsible for delivering high-quality customer service while assisting students with admissions, registration, financial aid, and general enrollment processes. The Enrollment Specialist promotes student access, engagement, and success in alignment with Coastal Bend College’s mission.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provides exceptional customer service to students, families, and community members in person, via phone, and digital platforms.
  • Assists prospective and current students with admissions and enrollment processes, including the admission application and financial aid.
  • Guides students through registration procedures, including the use of the student portal.
  • Provides general information and guidance related to financial aid, scholarships, payment plans, and deadlines.
  • Abides by FERPA regulations and maintains accuracy and confidentiality of records. 
  • Assists in resolving student issues and concerns and directs students to appropriate departments as needed.
  • Assist with data collection, tracking, and reporting for accrediting and institutional effectiveness purposes.
  • Collaborates with academic advising, financial aid, and other student support services to ensure a seamless student experience. 
  • Provides feedback regarding current processes to remove barriers that impact students through the enrollment process.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree required from an accredited institution of higher education.
  • One (1) year of experience in customer service, student services, admissions, financial aid, or related field.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree Preferred.

Other Duties:

Will participate in college committees as recommended.

Travel Requirements:

Travel to other CBC sites or off-campus events may be required. 

Environment:
 This position is in a fast-paced environment that supports student success. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required.
